A native of Topeka, Dr. Rogers graduated from Kansas State Universiy with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also attended Northeastern State University where he graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree i May 1995.

Dr. Rogers was a President of the Kansas Optometric Association; and  is a member of the Contact Lens Section of the American Optometric Association, and the Heart of America Contact Lens Society.

Dr. Rogers is a board member of the Eye Care Council. In 2004, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Kansas Optometric Association. In 2005, he received the Outstanding Young Optometrist Award.

Dr. Rogers special clinical interests include primary eye care, contact lenses, pediatric vision, and coular trauma and disease. Dr Rogers and his wife, Susan, have three children.
